Summer heat
What heat. The thermometer shows far over thirty degrees. Even just sitting around, a fine film forms on the skin, shimmering in the dazzling afternoon sun.
The only salvation is the cool, deep blue water of the pool. As I slowly slide down the steps, the contrast is almost intoxicating. The cold water slowly creeps up the heated legs, wraps around the hips, what a feeling. I swim a few slow strokes, feel the water flowing around every contour of my body and washing the heat off my skin.
The sun burns directly from above, while my body remains completely weightless and cool under water.
I let myself drift on my fantasies. How beautiful life can be.
